Harriet Washburn Pellar (1930-2010)

Harriet very quietly fought a three year battle with IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis), keeping it from all but her three daughters and 4 grandchildren.  Her husband, Marshall, preceded her in death 15 months earlier. Both were extremely health conscious for the past 40 years, so it is all the more mysterious why they were both taken by unusual diseases (his was Lewy Body Dementia, as he was mis-diagnosed with Parkinson’s).

IPF is a growing disease worldwide and there is no cure. The lungs harden up with fibroid tumors. She tried many alternative therapies from Chelation, inhaled glutathione, to acupuncture to all sorts of vitamins and supplements (anything but steroids, which she refused to take as they were so hard on the liver). She was on an oxygen machine 24/7 the last year, calling it her “tether”. Harriet smoked briefly in college, but was smoke free since 1956. World-wide, 5.5 million deaths are attributed to respiratory disease per year verses 5.1 of Cancer. We need to find out why there is such an increase in respiratory disease worldwide and if there are any environmental links such as air pollution or chemtrails:

But according to the New England Journal of Medicine, microscopic particles in the air can kill city dwellers prematurely. Further, a 1993 Harvard study has identified particles with a diameter of less than 10 micrometres (microns) as a threat to public health. Death rates increase with the rise in particulate pollution.

Nevertheless, a leaked draft document from the International Panel on Climate Change said the panel considers spraying up to 10 million tons of microscopic aluminum particles "in the range of 10 to 100 microns" as a possible solution to avoid global warming. .These apparent fungal infections could be caused when aluminum particles bring down the fungi, bacteria and viruses found to be living and reproducing in the upper atmosphere.”

Most people have never heard about IPF. No one could tell her how she got this disease (she was a non-smoker, a vegan, and health food junkie only eating organic produce).Her doctor said that he was an idiot for not being able to help her with a cure. Her lungs filled up with fibroid tumors and left no room for air to get in. Imagine being slowly suffocated over three years and always feeling exhausted? Imagine being tethered to an oxygen machine? Imagine not being able to do anything but to try to breath? Worldwide, respiratory disease is killing more people then Cancer.
