Harriet Pellar

Your parents, especially your wonderful mother, taught me so much in the years we were able to share. Your mother's peaceful love of all living things and delight in warmth of relationships brought so very much to my life, and I can truly say she remains beloved as long as I live............

My deepest condolences,

Your mom was a great friend. We were traveling buddies that shared a room for the various conferences we went to throughout the years. She was very special and was a true visonary. She had a full life but made sure she fulfilled her soul needs as well and kept up on the latest information. She absolutly lives in my heart and I always think of her very fondly. Your mom was a gentle soul and very worldy wise. Our conversations were very fulfilling and I will miss her dearly. Your mom was the kind of mom every one dreams of full of love, joy, peace and wisdom. I can't say enough about your mother, she was the best!

Nina, Linda and Marsha,

Your mom was such a special woman.  Elegant yet casual, kindharted and generous.  I remember her and your dad so fondly from childhood and also as an adult.  I will never forgert the awesome afternoon we spent at their ranch looking at all the animals.  My boys were amazed by the dog and had such a good time wandering around nature and exploring the ranch.  Your mom touched so many lives and we all remember her with love.  Much love to all of you and your families.

Wendy and I will forever hold dear memories of the Pellar family togetherness. Birthday dinners at Su Casa, dinners at Casa Pellar or Yorston. Hootie the Owl. Parents of Bishop School kids working with Harriet on school projects. We were all so young and alive. Please keep our our memories alive always as you gain in years and wisdom.         We send our heartfelt condences to all of you. Mrs. Pellar was a very special, beautiful, kind and loving person. We always have a special place for her in our hearts. She was so gentle and sweet. Mrs. Pellar devoted her life to your father, children and grand-children.  We feel so blessed to have known her.  We know she is reunited with your dear father in the presence of God.

Dear Nina,

 I just received the beautiful card regarding Harriet's passing and I sang the whole song (Today) out loud to you and to Harriet. Please send my best wishes to Marsha and Linda, and to your family, too.

As you know, Harriet and Marshall were a very important part of my formative years. They were the positive parental role models that I really needed. God only knows what sort of crazy ideas I would have gotten into my head about parenting had I not witnessed the constant caring and love that your parents showed for you and your siblings. They were artistic and free spirits, but they were great parents, too....and they were always so kind and welcoming to me. I will never forget them.

This has been a rough couple of years with your loss of Marshall followed so quickly by Harriet. I am sending good thoughts your way, in hopes that the healing from your loss goes as well as can be expected. I hope you are able to take a little time for yourself to refresh and rejuvenate your spirit. Let me know if you'd like to come to NYC with or without the kids. It would be nice to have you here. I miss you.

Marsha, Linda and Nina,
I received the beautiful announcement about your Mother today. Thank you for sending it. She was an amazing beautiful person. I remember her from dinners at Nina's when she lived in Mill Valley and many wonderful things she said. She has been sending me "Christmas" or Holiday cards every year since Nina moved to the San Juans and this year, cards more often. (I too sent her back cards) I loved her very much. I am truly moved by the love in your family as it flows down from your Mother and Father to your children. I am sorry for your loss. I know she will be looking after you from where she is. So much love there. So much love there. (with your mother and your sisters). You have been blessed. I know it must be hard (really hard) right now, but it was wonderful to have such a mother.

Just rec'd email about your mother's death. I am so sorry to hear this news.
I am sure your time w/ her last month is even more valuable now. Glad you
could be w/ her in hospital also, as I was w/ my Dad. Hard to let go but
somehow peace in being there. My deepest sympathies to you and your sisters.
